Function: Directly report to Manufacturing Engineering Director
The position is responsible to handle all Mechanical Assembly and related Manufacturing Process such as Ultrasonic Welding Process, Hot Staking Process of plastic enclosure adaptor/charger from design throughout NPI stages. It is necessary to work closely with customer to achieve a prefect quality and cosmetic of the product for the consumer market.
Job Descriptions:
1.Responsible for Mechanical Assembly and related Manufacturing Process throughout NPI stages to initial production. (65%)
- Process proposal at RFQ stage
- Detailed mechanical and process design at NPI stages
- Work closely with Designer to setup process that meet the design requirement
- Define process control requirement and quality acceptance criteria
- DFM assessment and negotiation with product designers
- Automation proposal and assessment
- Lead to perform DOE during NPI builds and come up with conclusion and alternatives
- Special process setup based on available manufacturing technology in the industry
- Setup cost effective process to archive overall product cost target
- Hand over new product to MP plant
- Base on critical customer requirements and available technology in the industry, define and setup strategic ultrasonic welding process capability
- Assessment for sub assembly that required ultrasonic welding for new products. Work closely with designer to come up with robust and good manufacturability design
- Setup ultrasonic welding process for NPI trial run. Optimize process to achieve quality and throughput requirements
- Liaise directly with customer and suppliers on resolving welding issues during NPI stage
- Drive continuous improvement for mass production products in ultrasonic welding process
- Monitor staff to ensure they comply with company policies, engineering procedures, internal & external customer requirements and budget/cost constraints
- Support, guide and train team for growth to maintain technical/cost competence and competitive
- Provide technical guidance to the team
2.Provide customer support. (15%)
- Working closely with customers and provide necessary report to customers
- Listen to the customers and propose the best solution for both companies interest
- Standby to get customer call any time
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
- Report all data to customer in accurate and precise manner
- Attend conference calls and meetings to provide adequate support, service and communication
3.Cost Management. (15%)
- Optimize the cost of manufacturing
- Optimize the cost of quality

- Minimize the production scrap by sound mechanical design, process design and automation
