Job Description
<DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES>
- Create and communicate a seasonal product framework for the category to support the brand and maximize revenue and profitability. Develop an assortment strategy, flow plan, and pricing strategy that align with the category's positioning and are optimized for retail success.
- Develop a product plan with appropriate purchasing to capitalize on sales opportunities without overstocking, based on sales analysis to secure effective inventory control.
- Collaborate with partners in marketing, sales, and retail to ensure effective integrated marketing strategies. Champion product integrity and price-value excellence.
- Understand the market, the competition, and the consumer. Utilize market knowledge to provide clear product direction, including market opportunities, channel strategies, volume potential, and visual or factual cues that motivate and inspire the product creation team to develop successful products.
- Lead the execution of category line plans that provide assortments and ensure an appropriate product flow to meet the needs of specific consumers, channels, and accounts, achieving revenue and profitability goals. Collaborate with headquarter throughout the seasonal product creation process to ensure key timelines and deliverables are met.
- Build directed assortments that support the category vision, working with regions with the retail outcome in mind.
- Continuously update market and consumer information to inform strategic line and business planning.
- Manage the growth and profitability of the category on a regional business performance basis, responsible for revenue growth, category development, and contribution to margin improvement.
Job Requirement
<DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE>
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Approximately 8+ years of experience in merchandising of footwear or apparel products.
- Approximately 3+ years of management experience.
- Preferred work experience in a lifestyle or fashion brand industry.
- Strong product knowledge, consumer awareness, creativity, and passion for the brand and products.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems
- Proficient in influencing, presenting, communicating, negotiating, and teamwork
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
