“I was interested in the recruitment business”
・Why you chose to join RGF?
First of all, I got to know the recruitment companies, including RGF, when I was at the university. I met with the recruitment companies at job events or job fairs they organized at my university in Thailand. With my Japanese language skills, initially RGF contacted to me as one of the candidates for the clients company. Then, I also knew there was an internal job via the job board, so I applied the role. After that, the HR staff called and approached me.
There were some reasons why I wanted to join RGF. At first, I was interested in the recruitment business because I was keen to learn more about the recruitment process, so I decided to proceed interviews with RGF. On the interview day, I was able to feel that the environment of the interview session was nice and friendly. Also, I found that the office location is convenient. The office is located in Emquatier, so I can commute by BTS Skytrain and walk directly to the office.
・What is your job responsibility and mission?
When I started my career at RGF as a consultant assistant, I got a rotation into the two teams. The first team is the RS team, which is to support candidate’s resume screening process. My main responsibility in this team was being the first judge to screen the resume applications sent from candidates through job boards and gave any advice and job details for incoming call candidates. My mission of this team was the quality and the number of resume applications from candidates.
After that, I had an opportunity to rotate into the SORA team, which is to support Job introduction process to candidates. In other word, the job was to confirm the candidates’ intentions to apply for the job from the remaining process. The mission of the SORA team was about getting the number of applicants from job introductions. In the SORA team, I mainly supported the Japanese speaking engineering positions, and general officer job categories.
“I feel like I am a part of the candidate’s opportunity.”
・Do you have any story that you feel rewarded in working experience at RGF?
I have continuously made “Kaizen” from my daily actions. “Kaizen” is Japanese word which means changing and improving oneself. For example, I calculated and summarized the salary table based on the company structure and the candidate’s ability and experience. It helped me to better propose and convince candidates to apply for the job. I also gathered summary information before discussing it with candidates. Therefore, candidates was able to understand all details and trust our service. Then, it created leads for them to apply for the job I introduced.
Moreover, I’ve also focused on customer-oriented values. My working experiences at the RS team enabled me to obtain many experiences about dealing with candidates. These experiences have made me productive and effective. Since I have to negotiate with many candidates everyday, I also need to learn about their personalities and the ways to discuss with them quickly. These actions make most candidates trust our service and decide to apply for the jobs. For instance, one of our candidates said to me, “Thank you so much for contacting me every day.” I was so impressed by that because the result comes from my actions and efforts. It makes me feel like I am a part of the candidate’s opportunity.
“RGF allowed me to explore the new skills and experiences”
・What is the attractive point to work in RGF? And, please share your goal in RGF.
Since RGF is my first job, I think the most attractive point to work in RGF is the working environment. It is a kind of friendly-environment office. Everyone in RGF has all high potential and they are very friendly. I have learned many skills from my colleagues. Because of the friendly working environment, it has allowed me to feel free to be transparent and discuss with everyone.
Furthermore, RGF has provided me an opportunity to explore new skills and experiences. While being the consultant assistant, I gained negotiation skills and problem-solving skills. I was able to learn how to deal with unexpected situations. Moreover, I acquired knowledge about the recruitment process from the beginning. For instance, I learned how to search the potential candidates. I was also able to find out the effective approaches and negotiation with them. I also got a chance to work with other people as well.
However, I still have room to further improve skills, such as negotiation, communication, and searching candidate.
