Our client, an European insurance company, provides a diversity of insurance products and financial planning services, is now looking for high caliber candidates to join their corporate office.
ASSISTANT OFFICER, INFORMATION SECURITY
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and design the implementation of information security controls to protect the company networks, systems and data, including contingency plan of system security services
- Manage and response to information security threats and vulnerabilities in systems
- Report and investigate on suspicious security issues
- Ensure information systems and IT infrastructure security by monitoring adherence to local and group information security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
- Support security assessment on systems and network infrastructure, and propose remediation plan for any potential problems
- Support local information security projects and programs
- Work with internal IT, external service providers and hardware/software vendors on projects to address information security related issues
- Provide 2nd / 3rd tier support to IT Helpdesk on information security related issues
- Perform user support and security awareness training where appropriate
Requirements
- University or Polytechnic graduate or equivalent, with a major in IT related studies
– Minimum 4 years of experience in IT industry, of which at least 1 years of experience in information security. Working experience in financial industry is an advantage
- Hands-on experience in managing information security projects, and managing/monitoring security solutions like firewall, security gateway, endpoint protection, or log monitoring
- Possess general knowledge of networking
- Experience in performing web application security scanning preferred
- Professional designation in Information Security (e.g. CISSP, CISA, or CISM) preferred
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
- Strong analytical mind and proficient in problem solving
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Self-initiated and has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
