This multinational company is engaged in the procurement and sourcing of various products for export to Europe’s Scandinavian countries. Hong Kong is its Asia Regional Head Office with other offices in China, Taiwan, Manila, and Vietnam. 


They are seeking a Infrastructure & Operations Analyst.


Responsibilities


Operation Services


•Responsible for assuring business users that desktop support are provided efficiently and timely.


•Provide on-site or remote access diagnosis and resolution of computer hardware and software problems.


•Ensure all requests, incidents, and changes are logged, categorized, and prioritized.


•Manage and administer the Service Desk toolset to ensure it meets the requirement of service provision and supports alignment.


•Develop and document strategies for support process improvement, and contribute to the change management process.


•Manage IT assets in Asia offices.


Infrastructure services


•Define new infrastructure systems commonly with the Group IT following standards.


•Implement, support, monitor and maintain infrastructure (both hardware and software) and services in data center and all Asia sites.


•Develop operational, installation, configuration, and upgrade documentation for relevant infrastructure components.


•Design and implement procedures and technologies to deploy system upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.


•Conduct infrastructure capacity and performance analysis across multiple platforms and suggest improvement.


•Implement redundant systems, policies and procedures for disaster recovery to ensure effective protection and integrity of hosted applications.


•Handle infrastructure projects through to successful implementation and hand over to operational support.


•Support Group IT infrastructure project implementation where applicable.

General


•Support IT management in strategic and tactical planning on technology standardization and modernization.


•Provide subject matter expertise, advice and consultancy for assigned technology and infrastructure systems.


•Evaluate technology hardware/software for purchase, recommend new configurations, and develop cost estimates and make recommendations for systems development and upgrades to existing systems.


•Provide ad-hoc non-office hours support if required.


•Build and maintain excellent business relationships with the business users, executive management, Asia IT team, and Group IT team.


•Contribute to departmental productivity and development objectives by participating in training programs.


•Undertake other duties as may reasonably be required.

Requirements

•At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and operations support to overseas offices.


•Experience in technical analysis, implementation, configuration, and upgrading of network infrastructure consisting of LAN/WAN equipment, Cisco switches, routers, wireless infrastructure and Riverbed WAN acceleration devices, HP server and storage infrastructure.


•Experience in Microsoft Server technology and infrastructure platforms including Windows server operating systems, messaging (Exchange), database (SQL Clustering), SharePoint administration, web proxy, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop Services.


•Experience in technical analysis, implementation, configuration, and upgrading of virtualized server infrastructure based on VMware vSphere.


•Experience in implementation, support proactive system monitoring and management of infrastructure components and application services.


•Experience in system patch deployment, WatchGuard, Symantec, SAN, VMware. 

•Experience in ITIL and ITSM methodology and implementation.


•Strong communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
