Our client is one of the leading fortune 500 Electronics Manufacturer in providing OEM/ODM Electronics parts for Communications, Computing, Healthcare, Military, Aerospace and Industrial Automation.
Function: Directly report to General Manager
Lead the Facility, Mechanical and Workshop Engineering teams to provide Engineering Services in Building Management, facilities set-up and Maintenance, Design and fabrication of Production and Testing Fixtures to meet Operations targets.
The mission of the job is to develop best-in-class Power Supply Manufacturing processes so that the Company can maintain leadership position in the Industry by reviewing, developing and maintaining appropriate Production Capacity. The position must deliver on the following key performance metrics - Annual Sales Revenue, Quality improvement in Production Process, Production Scrap Rate and Productivity in Operations.
Job Descriptions:
1. Lead the Surface Mount Operation to meet the factory annual Business objectives. (25%)
- Review production loading based on the latest POR and forecast and project SMT capacity
- If capacity is an issue for the Manufacturing support, raise out the long-term and short-term resolution for Management's approval.
- Provide the SMT production schedule that can meet different internal customers and organize resources for execution.
- Provide resolutions if any issues arise from the daily delivery of the PCB assembly.
- Review with the SMT team to pursuit continuous improvement, quality, productivity, cost and delivery.
- Provide engineering resources to support new design development, includes Engineering Verification Test (EVT), Design
- Review the design requirements and implements updated SMT technology to meet business objectives.
2. Lead the manufacturing engineering to provide the support to productions and meet the factory operational objectives. (15%)
- Update new production capacity for factory master scheduling.
- For long term capacity issue, propose capacity improvement plan and raise for management approval.
- Review customers orders & forecast weekly and identify any production capacity constrains.
- Lead the engineering to work with different departments to resolve the capacity constraints.
- Execute and implement new capacity to meet customers order requirements.
3. Review with all the section manager the innovation in manufacturing cost reduction (10%)
- Conduct bi-weekly meeting with all key managers and engineers on production cost reduction, cycle time reduction and productivity improvement programs
- Propose improvement projects to management's review and approval.
- Lead the test engineering to develop new test processes for better capacity, productivity or lead-time.
- Review with the testing team for continuously improvement, includes maintenance, manpower, expense etc.
- Review the testing capacity requirements with the available capacity, address the issue if gap exist.
5. Lead different engineering teams to support New Product Programs (10%)
- Lead SMT, PIE, Test Engineering, ME/WS and B-I engineering in new product EVT/DVT support
- Understand new products specifications and implement new processes (SMT, assembly, Testing etc) to meet the requirements.
- Raise proposal to management in case additional capital is required for the new product production process
6 Lead Facility, Mechanical and Workshop engineering, provide support to meet operational objectives. (10%)
- Lead the Facility, Mechanical and Workshop Engineering teams to provide Engineering Services in building Management, Facilities set-up and Maintenance, Design and Fabrication of Production and Testing Fixtures to meet Operations targets.
- Align the supporting teams (WS, FE & ME) with the manufacturing engineering the preparation to address any new production or operational requirements.
7. Lead Burn-in (B-I) engineering and provide support B-I capacity for production requirements. (10%)
- Lead Burn-in engineering in reviewing and preparing additional / new burn-in capacity to meet to customer order requirments.
- Prepare proposal of any long term B-I capacity for Management approval and execution
8. Lead MIS team to provide operational team the hardware and software support. (10%)
- Lead MIS team to provide Operational team the Hardware and Software support.
- Develop Office Automation, including Traceablity System , Payroll, Security, Attendance, and ESD recording Systems
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics or related with min 15 years of relevant experience in the Industry
- Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Management, Business Administration
- Have leadership, communication, decision-making, teamwork building, problem solving ability
