Our Client: Our client is a well-known Japanese Food Commodity trading company. Under the Chartering role, incumbent will be responsible for the APAC Market. The Responsibilities: • Reporting Line: Division Head of Freight Department • Voyage chartering in dry bulk market liaise with group traders across APAC offices to ensure best possible price, CP terms and conditions • Post fixture execution liaise with group traders across APAC offices to ensure smooth voyage charter operations and execute contracts in accordance with FOB/CNF/CP terms • Proactively identify potential issues and take corrective action to minimize disputes • Prepare Charter Party, rider, and addendum when required • Follow up Laytime Statement and settle demurrage/dispatch • Document and compile all vessel information and correspondence, timely and accurately for Month-End performance update and invoicing • Assist and support the Division Head in Chartering and other ad hoc duties as required • Provide technical knowledge and guidance, especially for chartering and operations related matters, and act as a mentor for new team members in Singapore and Tokyo

The Requirements: • Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Trade/ Maritime or equivalent • At least 8 years’ experience in shipping or bulk commodity trading company, preferably dealt with grains • Detailed and strong interpersonal skills to communicate and work with regional offices • Understands voyage and time charter party contract • Able to resolve disputes arising from post fixture and laytime operations • Comfortable and understands the ‘round the clock’ nature of shipping related work and able to commit as and when needed • Possess ability to express own ideas or analysis RGF Privacy Policy – https://www.singapore.rgf-professional.com/privacy-policy Disclaimer: The Company complies with the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices (TGFEP), including the prevailing guidelines on recruitment.
