Our Client: Our client is one of the leading International Logistics companies in Japan. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Singapore office. The Responsibilities: • Generating mechanical designs in accordance with specification (including fabrication drawings) for assigned projects • Performing accurate design calculations • Generating system layout drawings and installation drawings • Applying “Design for Manufacture” principles to minimize risk of quality issue during manufacturing • Using principles of sustainability and energy conservation when designing products and systems to minimize negative impacts on the environment • Generating works orders • Managing drawing revision control, register and transmittals for projects • Generating specifications for purchase items/services • Developing inspection and test plans and conducting validation tests • Preparing project technical documentation • Identifying and proposing improvements to engineering processes, tools and products • Assisting with system commissioning and testing on-site • Carrying out design modifications in accordance with corrective action process (ie Improvements Register) • Ensuring project timelines are met and projects stay within budget
