<Job Responsibilities>
You will be assigned to the Economic Research & Business Support Department.
- Writing business bulletins (approximately 800 characters in Japanese) covering topics such as Hong Kong's economy, systems, statistics, and market trends.
- Organizing materials, procuring documents, creating statistical data, and other miscellaneous tasks (phone handling, appointment scheduling).
- Coordinating meetings and preparing necessary documents between Japanese companies wishing to enter Hong Kong and relevant parties.
- Participating in interviews and seminars, and preparing reports (mainly in English and Chinese).
- Managing operations to support Japanese and Japanese-affiliated companies in entering and expanding their business in Hong Kong.
Ex.) Coordinating communication between experts and companies, Obtaining meeting appointments, Attending meetings as necessary, Coordinating communication with headquarters, preparing reports for headquarters, and planning, drafting, and managing events (seminars, pitches, etc.) beneficial to Japanese and Japanese-affiliated companies. Coordination with Hong Kong companies may also occur to support Japanese and Japanese-affiliated companies.
- Summarizing English and Chinese newspaper articles into Japanese, translating letters (Chinese ⇔ English, Japanese → Chinese), and creating documents and letters (in Chinese and English).
*Willingness to travel if opportunities arise.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience >
- Hong Kong permanent visa holder
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Fresh graduates are welcome
- Any clerical assistant work experience ex.) sales assistant, receptionist or translator.
- 1-2 years of related work experience is highly advantageous.
- Proficient PC skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Business level in Japanese, English and Mandarin and Native level in Cantonese
- Interest in promoting exchanges between Japan and Hong Kong in the field of economic activities, and on the business trends of Japan and Hong Kong companies.
- Detail-oriented, sincere and responsible person
- Good communication skills (including information sharing with superiors and internal and external parties, reporting, communication, consultation, and confirmation work)
- Immediate availability is preferred.
