Job Description

Assistant Manager (Ocean Freight)  (50K–60K) (SDG-115060)

<Job responsibilities>
- Checking & Negotiation for ocean freight rate from shipping lines/freight forwarder
- Gain more revenue and profit for ocean freight business both new customers and managing existing clients
- Control the issue document for ocean freight such as HAWB/MAWB, HBL, Billing invoice, cost sheet
- Control the cost/profit of the ocean freight Department
- Establish and maintain good relationships with customers, and overseas agents and respond to quotations/inquiries in a professional manner
- Response to the claim letters.
- Recruit new staff, interview
- Solving  NVOCC problems *NVOCC : Non-Vessel Operations Common Carrier
- Monthly Sales Report and NVOCC - import/Export analysis and statistics.
- Visiting current(80%) and new customers(20%) by company with driver. *Visit 1 or 2 days per week.
- Holding section monthly meetings.
- Rotation of clients on hand among staff.
- Control and manage the team to achieve the target
- Setting KPI in team
- Shipping line review and performance evaluation towards maximum performance and cost-saving
- Evaluation and improve staff knowledge

Job Requirement

<Necessary Skill / Experience >
- Thai nationality , Male, Female , age 35 - 40 years old
- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- At least 7 years experience in an Ocean freight forwarder business 
- Solid experience in Ocean Freight’s Pricing, 
- At least 3 years experience at the management level or assistant manager and have subordinates of at least 10 persons
- Conversational high English level ( to communicate with customers via phone,  email, and meet clients)
- Understand ocean freight inquiries as well as current incoterms®2020.
- Experience in good connection with various shipping lines.
- Experience of all shipping lines routing and strengths of each shipping line’s trade lanes.
- Experience in negotiating ocean freight pricing, and issuing quotations to clients.
- Experience in coordinating with overseas
- Experience in planning and implementing Sales strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
- Dedication to providing great customer service.
- Optional: To know operation works i.e. Break Bulk, Roro, OOG, Tank Container, 
- Dangerous Goods, Bill of Entry.
